Top Five Restaurants You Cannot Miss at Quivira

The Pueblo Bonito Resorts within the Quivira Los Cabos residential community have rapidly evolved into a genuine “foodies” destination, with a cornucopia of superb dining options. Here’s our pick of the Top 5.

Peninsula Restaurant – Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Golf & Spa Resort

A casual yet sophisticated restaurant featuring regional Baja cuisine, Peninsula, Pacifica’s newest restaurant, has expansive views of the beach, sea and sky. Utilizing fresh, locally sourced ingredients, including nearby organic farms, the chef merges modern techniques and cherished recipes to create an array of culinary gems. Seated indoors or out on the spacious, airy ground floor of The Towers’ multi-level building, guests can savor a tantalizing array of regional Baja dishes with wines to match in one of Cabo’s most romantic settings. The seafood appetizers (including a choice of ceviches) and entrees are exceptional.

Quivira Steakhouse - Quivira Clubhouse

Voted to Golf Digest’s elite roster of the “World’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses,” Quivira Golf Club’s spectacular Jack Nicklaus Signature designed layout has attracted an international following since its debut five years ago. Given its spellbinding beauty and unforgettable challenges, Quivira’s open-air, thatched-roof beachfront clubhouse is often overlooked. The Steakhouse, open for lunch and dinner, offers a large U-shaped bar as well as indoor / outdoor seating within sight and sound of the thudding surf. The steaks are great, the seafood is fresh, the veggies are perfect, and the service is impeccable. Seated outside on a typical starlit evening, this is a magical setting for a meal.

LaFrida Restaurant – Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Golf & Spa Resort

The exquisite gourmet Mexican cuisine served at LaFrida has earned the restaurant the highest distinctions for fine dining in Los Cabos, including a AAA Four Diamond Award for excellence. Master architect Jose Luis Orozco of Guadalajara incorporated paintings and fascinating remembrances of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo as an intrinsic part of the restaurant's dramatic décor.  This elegant space offers indoor seating in a formal, candlelit room decorated with reproductions of Kahlo’s distinctive work; as well as an outdoor terrace with panoramic ocean views. The multi-course meals span the length and breadth of Mexican cuisine, including authentic Oaxacan mole sauces.

The After at Quivira – The Market at Quivira

This stylish, urban-themed sports bar was designed to appeal to avid sports fans as well as lovers of classic pub fare. Occupying a spacious indoor / outdoor setting at The Market, a bustling gastronomic food hall, The After at Quivira is outfitted with nearly a dozen oversize flat-screen TVs tuned to the season’s most popular games. The bar is well-stocked with distilled spirits and serves specialty cocktails and artisanal beers on draft. The After’s menu offers American bar fare with a Mexican twist. Starters include “legendary” chicken wings, fried calamari, and mixed tempura. Also available are specialty nachos, burger sliders and sandwiches (brisket to beer-battered fish) served on bagels or homemade bread. Main dishes range from baby back ribs and steak frites to meatloaf (“classic grandma recipe”).

Siempre – Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Golf & Spa Resort

Recently updated, the circular Siempre restaurant serves delicious Mediterranean-style cuisine infused with distinctive Mexican flavors as well as wellness-oriented spa cuisine. But Siempre’s signature meal is its famous Sunday Champagne Brunch, which is served from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. In addition to a popular omelet station, there’s a full display of classic Mexican baked goods and breakfast specialties, including chilaquiles (red or green). There’s a glorious selection of sushi and raw shellfish. Plus, a tempting array of desserts. And two tradition clay urns, one with hot chocolate, one with spiced Mexican coffee. Regular guests mix the two to create a delightful morning wake-up beverage.
