Q Life: Exciting Food & Beverage Events Scheduled at Quivira Los Cabos

A lifestyle club created exclusively for residents at Quivira Los Cabos, Q Life offers a synergistic approach to individual pursuits and group activities. With its comprehensive menu of programs, Q Life inspires residents to seek new ways to enjoy a healthy lifestyle while developing friendships with those who share their interests. And that includes a wide range of food & beverage events on tap for 2022.

Chef del Fuego (Chef on Fire). Staged on Thursdays from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. in the Whale Watching VIP Lounge at The Towers at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica, this theatrical culinary event features a four-course “flaming” dinner. The menu changes weekly. The meal is capped by a flaming coffee presentation.

Tequila Tasting. Held in the Refresca Bar (built to resemble a tequila distillery) adjacent to the Siempre restaurant at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica, this tasting event is centered around two of Mexico’s national spirits, tequila and mezcal. Three different types of tequila (typically blanco, reposado and anejo) and a premium mezcal are selected by Refresca’s catador (tequila expert), who guides attendees through the tasting, calling attention to the distinct flavor profile of each spirit. Small bites are also served. The Tequila Tasting is held on Wednesdays from 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Wine Tasting. One of the more popular Q Life programs, the weekly Wine Tasting session is held on Fridays starting at 5:00 p.m. in the Whale Watching VIP Lounge at the Towers at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica. Three to four different wines, many of them award-winning vintages from Mexico’s leading wineries, are served alongside plates of meats, cheese, and crackers. The resident sommelier leads the session, providing brief background on each wine. It takes great wine to expand your palate, make new friends and learn about vintages you may not have thought to try.

Cocktail Party. The weekly Q Life cocktail party offers Quivira owners a place to relax and get to know others who reside at Quivira Los Cabos. Cocktail parties are held every Tuesday at a beautiful spot between Quivira Steakhouse and the golf course. This social occasion, a prime networking opportunity, is scheduled from 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. so that residents can enjoy a beautiful sunset while complimentary drinks and appetizers are served. Live music and DJ’s are featured.

Singing and dancing are encouraged. In addition, local vendors and artisans from San Jose del Cabo display their wares.

Cooking Class. What began five years ago as a friendly get-together for foodies interested in mastering authentic Mexican recipes has blossomed into a very popular event, one cherished by Quivira owners. Held on Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica, the Cooking Class invites guests to an open-air kitchen in the resort’s organic garden. Together with the executive chef, patrons are encouraged to select and prepare vegetables and herbs for selected dishes, which can range from roasted chilies stuffed with smoked marlin to classics such as Tortilla Soup, Enchiladas Verdes, and Tacos al Pastor. Once completed, a gourmet lunch (prepared by the class) is paired with Mexican wines and served at a communal table set beneath market umbrellas. A new feature this year: Attendees can call in advance to request that a special or favored dish be added to the menu.
