Pro Tennis Comes to Cabo

For the third consecutive year, the prestigious Cabo Cup of Tennis will be held at Cabo Del Mar in Cabo San Lucas, July 30 – August 4. With a total financial commitment of nearly $800,000 USD, the tournament ranks as the highest in its category (ATP 250) in the Americas Region.

In previous competitions, Croatian Ivo Karlovic was crowned the first champion of the event in 2016, while in 2017, American Sam Querrey became the second champion and the first player ever to win in Acapulco and Los Cabos in the same year.

Cabo Cup is a circuit whose main objective is to promote tennis in Mexico. It is composed of eight venues in different cities throughout the country. Starting in May, the first six venues distributed 500 points to the ranking of the FMT (Federacion Mexicana de Tenis). The final two competitions, in Querétaro and Los Cabos, are National Championships where 2,000 points will be distributed.  Overall, 28 single matches and 16 doubles matches are scheduled.

Single and multi-day ticket packages are available in platinum, gold and silver categories through Ticketmaster. Tickets are also available locally at Cabo Del Mar, the event site; and at the Koral Concierge in the lobby of the Hampton Inn in San Jose del Cabo.
