Surf’s Up in Cabo!

The Los Cabos Open of Surf, Mexico’s largest surf and music festival (also its most festive by far), will be held June 11 – 17 at Zippers, a renowned surf spot at Costa Azul in San Jose del Cabo.

Celebrating its sixth year, this premier professional surf and music event originally began as a men’s competition. Now known as the WSL (World Surf League) 6000 Women’s and Junior Pro Event, this much-anticipated extravaganza showcases the extraordinary talents of the finest surfers in the world.

A mesmerizing event for spectators—every wave is different, each surfer has his or her own unique style—the Los Cabos Open of Surf, a week-long beach party, is also a showcase for fabulous food (the best Baja fish tacos, anyone?) and fantastic musical acts.

Headlining this year’s event is Los Amigos Invisibles, a Venezuelan band winner of a Latin Grammy. The band is scheduled to play on Friday, June 15 at 8:00 p.m. at El Merkado.  Access bracelets are available for purchase at the offices of Koral Concierge adjacent to El Merkado.
