Fashionistas of Los Cabos, circle the dates on your calendar!
Los Cabos Fashion Week will celebrate its first edition from June 25 – 30. Los Cabos now joins elite fashion industry destinations such as New York, Paris, London and Milan as a global style leader.
A percentage of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Letty Coppel Foundation. The charitable organization’s philanthropic efforts seek to improve living conditions and social care within needy communities in Los Cabos and Mazatlan.
Los Cabos Fashion Week will be held at Esperanza (Auberge Resorts Collection) under the auspices of the New York FDLA (Federation of Latin American Designers). The renowned platform is chaired by its CEO and founder, Albania Rosario, in collaboration with Indira & Isidro, the Mexican jewelry masters.
"It is essential to look to the future and the opportunity to change, collaborate and innovate when it comes to the Latin American fashion industry," Rosario stated. Through her efforts and those of her coalition’s members, “FDLA has become an open door to those who show with their talent the signs of our identity and our culture.”
Los Cabos Fashion Week will provide validation for the creatives who have joined the federation since its founding. They include designers and brands with successful careers as well as emerging talents who now have a wider range of opportunities.
Distinguished fashion professionals confirmed to attend Los Cabos Fashion Week include Jose Forteza, editor of Conde Nast Mexico and Latinoamerica, who will be a fundamental part of the event.
It was crucial for the iconic Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, the daring Spanish designer known for her colorful, avant-garde style, to be part of the first edition of fashion week, as her collection will open the catwalk.
Representing Chile will be the celebrated designers Leti Faviani (To Go by Leti Faviani) and Maria Jose Ramirez Mell (BadPink). In addition, the Mexican-Cuban haute couture designer Willfredo Gerardo will present his unique and dazzling creations.
Confirmed designers also include Indira & Isidro Jewelry, the husband-wife team whose handmade, high-fashion jewelry has captivated audiences around the world. The prestigious Sanchez Jewelry brand, a family business recognized for the elegance and quality of its pieces (with shops in San Jose del Cabo and the U.S.), will also join the catwalk.
