Cabo’s Top 5 Nightclubs

Cabo’s Top 5 Nightclubs

As physically striking as Los Cabos is, the Land’s End destination takes on a vibrancy all its own after dark. Here’s our pick of the five must-see, can’t-miss nightlife party spots in Cabo San Lucas.

  1. Cabo Wabo Cantina

Sammy Hagar, vocalist and guitarist for Van Halen, visited Cabo in the late 1980’s with an idea of opening a friendly venue for live rock shows. Today, Cabo Wabo Cantina is a Cabo institution--and proof that rock ‘n roll never dies. Impromptu performances by famous artists. Great drink specials. The eponymous tequila is excellent.

  1. The Giggling Marlin

Talk about a can’t-miss-it club—a giant neon-lit marlin in a bucket hat, sunglasses and a big cigar in its teeth grins from atop a building that’s been a downtown fixture since 1984. The house drink is the “Skip and Go Naked.” Photo op? Have a tequila shot while hanging upside down from a marlin winch.

  1. El Squid Roe

This loud, funky, triple-decker party palace is the kind of place that welcomes guests to dance on top of the tables. And take jello shots. Relatively mellow until 11 p.m., Squid Roe kicks into high gear after midnight. Rap, hip hop and R&B remixes give way give reggae beats and Latin rhythms after 2 a.m.

  1. Mandala

This flashy, Vegas-style club, adjacent to El Squid Roe, features high-volume house music, EDM and hip hop. Mandala’s stylish retro interior has chandeliers and glittering disco balls suspended above the dance floor, plus light shows and big plasma TVs. Bottle service is available in VIP-style lounge areas for those who want to party in style, people-watch and take a break from the throbbing music and dance floor.

  1. Fat Tuna

Billed as “The Most Exclusive Rooftop in Town,” this trendy newcomer, situated on the top floor of the well-regarded Fat Tuna Restaurant, features a lighted dance floor, a panoramic bird’s-eye view of downtown Cabo San Lucas, and an inspired line-up of contemporary music curated by local and international deejays who “set the beat and ignite the party.”
