Paddle Board at Sunrise on El Médano Beach

Paddle Board at Sunrise on El Médano Beach

The hottest part of summer is here, and the best way to seek relief from the heat is to head to the sea and choose an activity that gets you in (or on) the water.

For novices and experts alike, one of the best cool-off plus fitness options is stand-up paddle boarding (SUP), which strengthens the body’s core like few other activities. It’s not only fun, it’s the fastest-growing water sport in the world.

A special ‘Paddle Board at Sunrise on El Médano Beach’ has been organized with Bonita Tours to give Pueblo Bonito guests the opportunity to enjoy a truly special outing on the water.

No previous experience is required, only enthusiasm and the desire to paddle a board on the calm waters of Cabo San Lucas Bay and get close to some fascinating landmarks.

Before embarking on the one-hour tour, a safety tutorial and basic instruction is offered on the beach in front of Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos Beach Resort, a.k.a. “Blanco.” Beginners then head out on the water to get acclimated and learn how to paddle the board. Once balance is established and basic techniques are mastered, paddlers are free to explore the waters of the bay, which sea explorer Jacques-Yves Cousteau once described as the “Aquarium of the World.”

In addition to El Arco, the famous sea arch at Land’s End, paddlers can swing by Pelican Rock, Neptune’s Finger, a sea lion colony and Lover’s Beach, a sheltered strand situated at the base of towering rock formations. Bonita Tours maintains supervision and contact with paddlers at all times.
