Quivira Activities: Make the Most of Your Stay

August 20, 2015

One of the great things about owning a residence in Quivira is that there is an endless amount of things to do in the Quivira Development and in Cabo while on vacation. The variety of activities is a large part of what makes the development so special, and what helps create the Good Life in Cabo for owners.  However, sometimes a little direction is helpful!

Now that the Copala Residences’ completion dates are close at end, many of you will be planning a fall or winter visit to Los Cabos. We’ve put together a few suggestions of how you can spend your days and enhance your experiences during your stay. When brainstorming over your vacation itinerary, consider a few of these options and turn your visit into a well-rounded, adventure of a lifetime! You may find that you never want to leave Quivira!

Connect with Wildlife:

From September through mid-December, the beaches of Cabo San Lucas become the hatching grounds for multiple species of sea turtles. Pueblo Bonito runs a yearly Turtle Protection and Release program which allows owners and guests to participate when newly-hatched turtles are released from the enclosures protecting their nests. For more information, please contact the concierge desk: concierge_montecristo@pueblobonito.com.mx.

From mid-November to the end of March, Cabo San Lucas offers fantastic opportunities for whale watching. The majority of sightings occur during January through March, however, as this is when the humpback and gray whales follow their migration path from Alaska back to the warm waters of Baja California Sur. Breaching whales are visible from shore, so you may see them while dining at a Pueblo Bonito ocean-view restaurant, while playing on the Quivira Golf Course, or even from the comfort of your own home! Many whale-watching tours are also available in town; please contact the concierge desk for more information: concierge_montecristo@pueblobonito.com.mx.

Explore the Terrain:

The Quivira Development boasts over 400 acres of natural conservation areas. There are peaceful botanical gardens to explore and over 20 miles of trails ideal for walking, hiking or biking.

An ecological tour called the Cactimundo Tour is a popular excursion which allows owners and guests to explore the surrounding areas and learn about the local cacti plants. The tour is perfect for those who enjoy nature and appreciate the unique plant life that is found in Baja California. Tours are held each Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9:30 am, and begin at the main lobby of Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Golf & Spa Resort.

Golf by the Sea:

By now, you have certainly heard all about the outstanding, award-winning Quivira Golf Course. This Jack Nicklaus Signature course continues to receive praise for its beautiful ocean views and challenging holes. If you are a golfer, you will not want to miss the opportunity to play a few rounds or to enjoy the practice facilities. Private lessons are available for those looking to improve their game.

Dine to Your Heart’s Content:

The Pueblo Bonito luxury resorts offer many wonderful dining options, some within the Quivira Development, some closer to downtown Cabo. As a Quivira owner, you will enjoy a special 10% discount at any of the Pueblo Bonito restaurants and bars, including the fantastic Quivira Steakhouse located at the Quivira Golf Club.
