April’s Top Music & Culinary Events

They say things in Cabo slow down a bit after Easter, which this year falls on April 21. But more and more, Los Cabos is becoming a year-round destination, with events of every style and description sprinkled throughout the calendar. Here’s our pick of the top music and culinary festivals on tap for this month.

Warren Hill’s Los Cabos Jazz Festival 2019. After successfully establishing the Cancun Jazz Festival, promoter and musician Warren Hill has exported his eclectic musical extravaganza to Los Cabos. Scheduled for April 25 – 28 at the newly opened Nobu Hotel in Cabo San Lucas, the jazz festival will feature a who’s who of contemporary artists, including Boney James, Jeffrey Osborne, Lalah Hathaway, a “Sax to the Max” group, and a “West Coast Jam” session featuring Warren Hill himself.

Taco Fest Los Cabos 2019. Here’s an easy-to-appreciate food festival with Mexico’s most common and popular staple as the star attraction. Now in its third edition, Taco Fest Los Cabos will be held on Medano Beach, on Saturday, April 27 from 6:00 p.m. to midnight. Along with the tastiest tacos imaginable, patrons can enjoy lovely views of El Arco at Land’s End from Cabo’s liveliest beach in front of Casa Dorada Hotel. Entry fee of $600 MXN includes unlimited tacos while supplies last.

Blues Fest Todos Santos. Organized as a fundraiser for the Todos Santos Volunteer Firefighters (Bomberos Todos Santos), this blues festival is scheduled for Saturday, April 27 from 5:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Headliners Brian Flynn and Blues Band MX will be joined by no fewer than five other national and international blues bands. The setting is Todos Santos, a designated ‘Pueblo Magico’ located an hour’s drive north of Cabo San Lucas. Tickets are available at Gallo Azul Pizza, Pacifico Fish Market, and Barracudas Cantina in Cerritos.
