Top Three Places to Celebrate the Holidays

Top Three Places to Celebrate the Holidays

Celebrate at Quivira Los Cabos

Whether it’s dining, imbibing or spa-going, Pueblo Bonito Resorts offer many ways guests to celebrate the holidays!

Siempre. Recently updated with new interior décor and furnishings, the circular indoor / outdoor restaurant at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica offers Mediterranean-style cuisine accented with Mexican flavors. The beautifully decorated Christmas tree at the entrance to the dining room sets a festive tone for holiday enjoyment.

Wellness-oriented spa dishes are available to those who are already working on their New Year’s resolutions, but Siempre is best known for its fabulous Sunday Champagne Brunch. The magnificent buffet presents a cornucopia of dishes, from custom omelets (pick your favorite ingredients) and Mexican specialties (like red or green chilaquiles) to an array of sliced tropical fruits, fresh-baked breads, a raw seafood bar and carving stations. The array of desserts available is unrivalled in Los Cabos. Pair desserts with rich, delicious home-made Mexican hot chocolate, found in a tall clay urn beside the Mexican spiced coffee. And of course there’s free-flowing Champagne to keep the holiday spirit going!

Tequila. Egg nog and peppermint schnapps and Tom & Jerry (a traditional Christmastime cocktail) are fine back in the States at the holidays, but in Cabo, tequila is the spirit of choice. Treated to a recent makeover, the Refresca Tequila Bar at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica recreates the look and feel of an authentic Mexican distillery. Laid-back but elegant, Refresca features rare tequilas as well as hard-to-find mezcals, which can be made from 26 different varieties of agave. This unique spirit, native to Mexico, is the drink du jour among millennials and connoisseurs who favor its complex, smoky aroma. The bar’s new menu also includes unique flavored margaritas and a tasty selection of traditional snacks.

Another good option for a tequila-based holiday cocktail is the Lobby Bar at Sunset Beach. The staff here has been personally trained by Antonio Palacios, a master sommelier, in the advanced mixology skills required to create the Signature Margarita. It is made with top-class Clase Azul tequila (in the blue-and-white ceramic bottle), Cointreau, Grand Marnier, agave syrup, fresh lime and lemon juice. It is impeccable. Belly up to the wood-beamed bar--or savor the frosty drink on the open-air terrace. Salud!

Armonia Spas. Want to really relax and unwind at the holidays? The perfect place to hit the reset button at Pueblo Bonito Resorts are the award-winning Armonia Spas, available Pacifica, Sunset Beach and Montecristo Estates Luxury Villas. Each spa offers a complete menu of rejuvenating treatments designed to relax and revive. Each indulgence, administered by a staff of licensed spa therapists, is specifically created with the intention of self-renewal. The magic ingredient that sets Armonia Spas apart from the competition? Its own signature product line, Armonia Spa Organic. The exclusive line’s products are made with ingredients that include USDA-certified organic shea butter, Bach flowers that increase the benefits of all products, dry-rolled dead sea salts, and USDA-certified organic cocoa butter, among others.

Skilled therapists at Armonia Spas apply advanced massage techniques to obtain the great benefits that nature offers for physical, emotional and spiritual healing. This is especially true for organic rituals that include an exfoliation and a body wrap followed by a detoxifying, invigorating or relaxing massage. Because organic ingredients are used exclusively, they are free of preservatives. The aromas are exquisite and establish a sense of calm that allows guests to achieve harmonic balance that often lasts for hours. The signature organic product line, coupled with an exceptional menu of spa treatments, place these wellness sanctuaries in a class of their own. What a great way to ring in the New Year!
